About the role

We are looking for a Strategy Manager to join the Strategy function and support the strategic journey of Maersk, by supporting a business unit or function. As a Strategy Manager, you will be the trusted advisor and sparring partner to the respective Leaders of that area. You, together with the respective Senior Strategy Partner, will define and drive the strategic agenda and priorities of the respective business or function and ensure that it is aligned with Maersk’s long-term strategy.

Key responsibilities

You will be part of a high-performing Strategy team, but also a strong individual contributor for your respective area, and:

  • Support the Strategy team in driving the APMM corporate strategy work towards the annual strategy review with CEO and Executive Leadership Team to set the long-term direction for the company.

  • Support in translating the Maersk enterprise 2030 strategy to 'what does it mean’ for the respective business or function, refining business, functional or regional strategies together with the Senior Strategy Partner.

  • Support in driving the operationalization of our strategy, defining and prioritizing strategic initiatives together with the respective Leaders, and support on ongoing strategic decision making.

  • Become the business expert of the area you will support and provide context and insights to the leadership team.

  • Build long-lasting and trusting relationships across our business, utilizing your great stakeholder management skills, and ensure buy-in into the recommendations through excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What we are looking for

  • A future colleague with a strategic mindset who thrives in a collaborative environment with teams and senior stakeholders.

  • 2-4 years from a top-tier management consultancy and/or a similar role from an international/global organizations.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and a proven track record of being capable in challenging and influencing stakeholders across all seniority levels.

  • A logical approach to complex problems, and ability to communicate effectively and confidently challenge stakeholders and team members across all levels.

  • Ability to use your problem-solving toolbox to participate in strategy work and consulting-type projects, working alongside our in-house consulting team, and also work independently in preparing relevant material for senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to thrive in an environment of open and constructive feedback. You seek to develop yourself and others by receiving and delivering feedback in a constructive and empathetic manner.
