Key responsibilities

You will work with our global engineering teams to contribute in driving change, delivering quality products on time and retire technical debt

Apart from that, you would be expected to:
• Work with our end customers to understand their needs and challenges, to be able to resolve these challenges via software solutions.

• Take ownership of the end to end software development/implementation and solution quality by limiting WIP, managing dependencies and focusing on engineering practises.

• Grow the DevOps mindset beyond technology, troubleshooting both technical and business challenges, and leverage technical to resolve incidents and challenges that arise with business solutions..

• Promote in the continuous delivery, supporting and operating software in a DevOps model

• Leverage all of your knowledge and experience in collaboration with the team to improve productivity, effectivity and efficiency of business.

• Be willing to be challenged and learn new skills, be adaptive and agile in mind.

• Finally lead and grow your team by example in how to be more productive, effective and efficient

  You are a well-rounded engineer with experience in development of successful products in the industry.
• Hands on experience in developing scalable, resilient, secure and quality engineering products; preferably in logistics spaceStrong belief and demonstrated ability to iterate and evolve architecture
• A solid understanding of cloud native architectures.
• You are an independent performer who is curious and eager to learn
• Experience with building and managing microservices through its life cycle (versioning, backward compatibility)
• Good development experience with focus on engineering practises and exposure to developments tools (Eclipse/Intellij / VSCode, GIT, JIRA, Confluence, GIT/ Bitbucket) and test automation tools like junit, codecepts)
• Experience with cloud platforms(Azure/AWS/GCP); preferably in Azure with understanding on Logic App, Function App, Gateway, Azure AD, App Service, Azure service bus, eventgrid, Azure ARM deployment
• Comfortable with Agile / DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (maven, Jenkins,gradle)
• Have good working knowledge on programming languages (Java 8 or above) with deep rooted understanding of object oriented thinking, functional constructs, concepts, design patterns, springboot, Java persistence API
• Database systems experience with SQL/No SQL DB’s
• Exposure to distributed caching, failure detection algorithms & application failover strategies is desirable. Experience with building self-healing, automatic fault detection and recovery mechanisms is good to have.
• Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or alternatively Bachelor's Degree or higher in an IT related discipline.
• A great team player and a strong collaborator
• Excellent English verbal and written communication is a must
