Job Description

Help design the future of global trade

Maersk is transforming the industry through digital innovation and a strong customer focus. We design experiences for global trade that are intuitive, scalable, and impactful — and we’re looking for a talented Senior UX Designer to help us shape the future of global trade.

What we offer

As a Senior UX Designer in the Business Enablement Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in creating user-centric digital solutions across Maersk’s platforms. Working alongside product owners, developers, business stakeholders, and fellow designers, you will take ownership of designing complex experiences that empower both our customers and internal users.

You’ll join a growing UX team operating in a fast-paced, agile environment. Our design culture values curiosity, collaboration, and evidence-based decisions. You’ll help solve complex business problems using design thinking methodologies, contribute to product strategy, and shape world-class solutions that are fundamental to our business.

What you can expect:

  • A meaningful role in designing solutions that impact global trade
  • A collaborative and inclusive design culture within a globally respected brand
  • Hybrid/remote flexibility and tools that support distributed teamwork across time zones
  • Opportunities to grow your skills in a supportive environment that encourages innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning
  • Regular design critiques, workshops, and cross-team collaboration to sharpen your practice and expand your influence
  • A competitive compensation package

Key responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end UX design across complex digital products and platforms — from discovery to implementation
  • Translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into usable, elegant, and accessible design solutions
  • Conduct and synthesize user research (qualitative and quantitative) to inform design direction and advocate for user needs
  • Create high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows using tools like Figma and Miro, and validate through usability testing and iterative feedback
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, developers, business stakeholders, and fellow designers
  • Ensure alignment with Maersk’s Design System and UX standards to maintain consistency, scalability, and accessibility
  • Facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions to drive alignment around user problems, needs, and opportunities
  • Communicate design rationale and decisions clearly to stakeholders, balancing business priorities with user outcomes
  • Stay current with UX trends, tools, and methodologies — and actively contribute to team practices and innovation efforts

Expected qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design with a strong portfolio
  • Comfortable taking ownership of UX efforts within cross-functional teams
  • Experience with user research and usability testing
  • Strong proficiency in Figma
  • Solid understanding of interaction design, responsive design, accessibility, and UX writing principles
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills — visual, written, and verbal — across distributed and culturally diverse teams
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders at different levels of the organization
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, finance, or other complex domains is a plus
  • Familiarity working across time zones and remote teams is a plus
