Job Description

APM Terminals

Designing and implementing business information models that support our organization's data-driven initiatives. Works closely with information/data architects, analysts, and business analysts to understand their data requirements and translate them into conceptual and logical models. Supports software engineers in the implementation of the physical data models. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our information models, as well as maintaining their documentation and metadata.

APM Terminals (APMT) plays an important role in enabling the global Maersk Ocean and Logistics network as well as serving other Shipping Lines, Beneficial Cargo Owners, Freight Forwarders, intermodal logistics providers and integrating with a wide variety of local port authorities, customs and government bodies across our global network of transshipment, import and export gateway terminals.
In support of the broader Maersk strategy, we are accelerating the transformation of our business from a portfolio of independently operated terminals into a safer, better, bigger global terminals operator

We Offer
This is an exciting career opportunity in an international, challenging business setting known for diversity and high paced environment. You will get to focus on creating valuable relations with current and new customers and work with highly professional teams in an environment where you will be valued, recognized, and well rewarded.

Purpose:

One of the core strategic pillars in APMT's strategy is operational excellence: “This is our platform for current and new terminals, where all value streams are standard, scalable, and replicable from acquisition, to construction, integration and all the way down to running a terminal”. Implementing, optimizing and scaling Operations Technology will play a pivotal role in achieving our strategic goals, ranging from initiatives like implementing complex brownfield automation at a fast pace to optimize manhours per move or efforts to optimize running-hours per move by systemized solutions in our maritime terminals. To be successful, our terminals need to be supported by a focused, aligned and agile global team that adds value by Subject Matter Expertise, standardization and agile decision-making.

An important enabler for this to happen is the development of a future execution platform for APM terminals. We need to design, de-risk and create a plan for our eco-system of systems required to execute our future operations, embedding our Operations know-how and securing our IP. The future execution platform covers the planning and execution processes for the APMT Enterprise. Information supporting these processes will be contributed to the APMT Enterprise Information Model, which is part of the overall Maersk Enterprise model.

As an Information Modeler for the Lean Systems Strategy, you will play a key role in designing and implementing business information models that support our organization's data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with our information/data architects, analysts, and business analysts to understand their data requirements and translate them into conceptual and logical models, and support software engineers in the implementation of the physical data models. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our information models, as well as maintaining their documentation and metadata. Your expertise in information modelling tools and techniques, as well as your ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, will be critical to the success of our data-driven projects. You should bring with you expertise and experience in working with standard models including ISO, UNCEFACT in addition to maritime industry models for terminals (TIC4.0) and shipping (SMDG, DSCA) and apply this within the APMT Operations environment to help improve upon the modelling techniques and tooling that we apply within our business today. Experience of the ISA-95 Manufacturing Standard and associated Information Model will be valuable.
