Here’s the Deal:
Senior Data Steward is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and strategic alignment of critical data assets across business functions and systems. This role bridges business and data governance by defining standards, overseeing data quality, supporting data-related projects, and guiding data management practices across teams and locations.
Key responsibilities:
- Data Governance & Policy Implementation
Define and enforce data standards, guidelines, and business rules in collaboration with Data Owners and Process Owners to support enterprise-wide data governance.
- Data Quality Oversight
Monitor and validate the integrity of master and reference data, lead root cause analysis for anomalies, and implement corrective measures to maintain high data quality.
- Domain Expertise & Stewardship
Act as the principal representative of the data domain across regions and entities, owning the lifecycle and accuracy of key data elements.
- Data Documentation & Metadata Management
Maintain detailed records of data definitions, business terms, and functional rules to support transparency and usability across stakeholders.
- Business-as-Usual (BAU) Operations
Oversee day-to-day data requests and changes, validate SNOW form submissions, ensure compliance with regional/global standards, and continuously improve data processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
Lead cross-functional discussions, represent data-related issues in governance forums, and communicate updates to relevant users and terminal teams.
- Project Support & System Implementations
Provide data expertise in strategic projects, ensure timely delivery of data templates, and assess impacts of system changes on data quality and usage.
- Training & Process Maturity
Drive data awareness by educating data requestors and execution teams, ensuring adherence to data standards and fostering a culture of data responsibility.
The Basics:
- Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- Technical Knowledge: Accounting process ATR, OTC, PTP. US GAAP and Audit process.
- English Level: Advanced (C1)
- Project management experience
