  • A highly collaborative international environment where diverse voices are heard and valued

  • Opportunities to contribute to a digital platform used across global terminals and customer segments

  • Freedom to shape product direction with the support of experienced cross‑functional partners

  • Clear development pathways, exposure to strategic decision‑making and ownership of impactful initiatives

  • A culture that focuses on wellbeing, flexibility and a sense of belonging

About the role

APM Terminals is looking for a Product Owner – Commercial Products who will shape, develop and scale the digital customer experience across key domains such as Visibility, APIs, and the online Order‑to‑Pay (OOTP) journey. Working at the intersection of Product, Technology and Commercial teams, this person ensures that customers enjoy a seamless, intuitive and data‑rich digital experience — and that our platform evolves to support APMT’s strategic ambitions for 2030.

This role is central to creating a unified customer journey across terminals while enabling digital adoption, attachment and revenue growth. The Product Owner partners with architects, developers, UX and commercial stakeholders to build solutions that are not only functional, but also human‑centred and easy to use.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for Visibility, APIs and OOTP capabilities

  • Represent customer, business and end‑user needs in all platform decisions

  • Work closely with Architects, Developers and UX to shape and validate solutions

  • Translate customer and business needs into clear requirements, user stories and measurable outcomes

  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog, setting acceptance criteria and ensuring delivery quality

  • Validate that solutions meet intended outcomes and support business workflows

  • Monitor product usage and performance to identify enhancements and drive continuous improvement

  • Support global standardisation and simplification of digital customer journeys

  • Build alignment across Product, Tech, Data, Commercial and CX teams as well as regional and terminal partners.

What we’re looking for

  • Lean‑minded: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.

  • Experience as a Product Owner or Digital Product Manager (5+ years), ideally in logistics, supply chain or B2B digital platforms

  • Strong understanding of digital customer journeys, APIs, data products and self‑service portals

  • Ability to turn operational processes into scalable, user‑friendly digital workflows

  • Solid Agile experience and hands‑on backlog ownership

  • Comfort moving between technical detail and strategic decision‑making

  • Strong stakeholder‑management skills across commercial, technical and operational teams

  • A warm, collaborative communicator who can build trust and alignment in diverse environments

  • Someone organised, grounded, and able to balance multiple priorities with confidence and empathy.

Location

The role is based in The Hague.
