We are a diverse, international community where different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences make us stronger. We work openly and collaboratively and value curiosity, clarity and shared ownership. Interested? Let’s dive in ...

Ready to shape the future of Maersk’s Network Design platform?

As a Product Manager, you will help drive the product vision for analytics and AI capabilities that improve how planners design, evaluate, and operate Maersk’s global network. You will translate complex analytical and modelling concepts—including simulation outputs, reliability modelling, optimization insights, and predictive models—into simple, intuitive product experiences that planners trust.

You will work closely with engineering, data science, UX and planning teams to deliver features that improve reliability, raise decision quality, and reduce manual effort across planning cycles.

What we offer

To work at Maersk is to step into a world of opportunity and impact. You’ll collaborate with talented professionals who keep global trade moving—shaping the flow of goods, ideas, and possibilities across the planet. Here, your growth truly matters. With access to world‑class learning, supportive leaders, and space to stretch your potential, you can build a career that takes you further than you imagined. You’ll be part of a diverse, inclusive community where you’re valued for your unique strengths and celebrated for the contributions you make. And with flexible hybrid working and industry‑leading benefits, you’ll have the freedom and support to thrive—professionally and personally.

In your responsibilities, you will:

Product ownership & delivery

  • Own and evolve part of the analytics and AI product vision for the Network Design platform.
  • Translate complex analytical, simulation and optimization requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, feasibility and data availability.
  • Guide feature delivery across planning cycles, ensuring stability, usability and impact.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with network designers and our execution teams to ensure assumptions, inputs and outputs are realistic, transparent and validated.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data Science and Tech Platforms on data sourcing, feasibility, pipelines and architecture.
  • Collaborate with UX to design intuitive ways for planners to consume complex model outputs.

Analytical understanding & decision support

  • Interpret model outputs—including simulation behaviour, reliability metrics, optimization trade-offs—and communicate insights clearly.
  • Ensure analytics features are trusted, documented and embedded into workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement of model‑driven planning logic and reduce manual analytical work.

Quality, clarity & communication

  • Maintain high quality documentation, release notes and requirement definitions.
  • Communicate roadmap updates, design decisions and trade‑offs in a structured, accessible way.
  • Support testing and user acceptance of new analytics features.

You will be accountable for:

  • A value‑driven, well‑prioritized analytics and AI backlog
  • High‑quality delivery of analytical features that improve planning decisions
  • Stable, validated and well‑documented model outputs
  • Clarity and quality of user stories, acceptance criteria and communication
  • Adoption and satisfaction of analytics features by planners and strategists
  • Reduction in manual work through automation and AI‑assisted capabilities
  • Effective cross‑team alignment and predictable delivery

What you bring:

Technical & analytical foundation

  • Strong understanding of analytics, simulation, optimization or AI concepts (you don’t need to build the models, but you should understand how they behave).
  • Ability to interpret complex model outputs and translate them into business meaning.

Product mindset

  • Proven product ownership skills: backlog management, requirements, roadmap definition.
  • Ability to convert analytical and planning needs into structured user stories and acceptance criteria.

Collaboration & communication

  • Strong stakeholder management, balancing diverse needs across technical and business teams.
  • Clear, structured communication that simplifies complexity.
  • Discipline in documentation, testing, data quality and expectation management.

Ways of working

  • Proactive, structured way of working with strong ownership and follow‑through.
  • Familiarity with supply chain planning and simulation of logistics/manufacturing systems is an advantage.
