Ocean Asset Partnership (OAP) is responsible for global purchasing activities related to vessel equipment, ship repair and newbuilding, and associated services. Our daily work covers tender management, contract negotiation, supply chain management, supplier relationship management, supplier performance evaluation etc. As a Procurement Intern, you will support the maintenance and development of internal tools, contribute to daily vessel supply chain operations, assist with tender activities, and participate in major projects and strategic initiatives.
Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance during the internship will also be considered as part of our talent pool for the team's future development, with priority given when suitable opportunities arise.
Responsibilities
1. Support category managers with project tenders, quotation consolidation, and data analysis, while gaining an understanding of the logic behind procurement decisions.
2. Assist the supply chain team in following up the end-to-end procurement process, from demand creation to goods/service delivery.
3. Help maintain procurement-related dashboards and internal tools, enabling data to better support business decisions.
4. Collaborate with the data team to improve price catalogues and support procurement process automation.
5. Participate in spend analysis, price comparison, and market research, turning fragmented data into valuable business insights.
6. Support team projects and strategic initiatives, gaining experience in cross-functional communication and project collaboration.
Required competencies and skills
1. Bachelor's degree or above; majors related to shipping, supply chain, logistics, engineering, or business administration are preferred.
2. Strong interest in shipping, logistics, supply chain, or data analysis, with a willingness to learn proactively.
3. Detail-oriented and patient, with an interest in identifying issues from data and finding practical solutions.
4. Good communication skills and team spirit, with the ability to learn and communicate in an English-speaking work environment.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in Excel-based data processing or analysis.
6. Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools would be an advantage.
7. Awareness of and interest in using AI tools to improve learning, information organization, data analysis, or day-to-day work efficiency.
