Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Outbound to be responsible for supervising and controlling all outbound warehouse operations, ensuring accurate, timely and damage-free dispatch of appliances to customers, retailers, branches and x-dock facilities while maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. He/she is also responsible for managing resources, performance indicators and the security of goods. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that safety instructions are applied to his/her colleagues. He/she is responsible for the management of the team entrusted to him/her.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Outbound Operations:

  • Supervise daily picking, staging, loading and dispatch activities.

  • Ensure on-time shipment of order (OTIF performance).

  • Monitor dispatch Smartsheet and coordinate with fleet controllers as well as transporter.

  • Prevent bottlenecks during peak period.

Order accuracy and Inventory Control:

  • Ensure correct model, quantity, and serial numbers are picked.

  • Oversee final verification before and after loading.

  • Reduce picking errors and shipment discrepancies.

  • Maintain real-time updates on the Smartsheet and outbound KPIs.

Damage prevention and Quality Control:

  • Ensure proper handling of bulky appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, Aircon units etc) during picking and loading.

  • Supervise safe loading integrity.

  • Investigate and report on discrepancies reported by customers.

  • Utilize WMS to generate and update reports on units picked versus units scanned.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Update outbound KPIs.

  • Communicate performance to the teams.

  • Ensure all key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Outbound department, such as KPIs, bulk outs and damages are updated daily.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Enfore warehouse safety policies.

  • Ensure proper use of material handling equipment.

  • Maintain clean and organized loading areas.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Someone with:

  • Matric or Diploma/Certificate in Supply Chain, Inventory, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • One to two years of experience in logistics/outbound background.

  • Experience supervising warehouse staff.

  • Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, and best practices in outbound/dispatch management.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
