Project logistics is a specialized subset of the logistics industry that requires a fully integrated approach to the global orchestration of material flow, order management and shipment execution from multiple origins to a defined site location, including transportation of regular, out of gauge cargo (OOG) and other sensitive cargo across various transport modes (Ocean, Air and Land) with the objective to deliver in full, complete, on time and in the right sequence per the customer’s project plan and schedule.
At Maersk, our Project Logistics product teams combine traditional freight forwarding and transport capabilities with the highly specialized skills and competencies needed for complex project planning, transport engineering, procurement, and Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) compliance. Our experts are skilled in project transport solution design, special cargo transportation, specialized transport asset management, and project management services, including detailed planning, orchestration, and sequencing of end-to-end shipments from suppliers to often remote and austere destination sites.

The Operations Agent has the ownership of the operational execution across Ocean and Logistics and is responsible for file creation, coordination and closure of shipment files.
On any given day, the Operations Agent will be
Creation and execution of customer shipments according to the implementation plan and customer requirements with regards to QHSE and reporting
Understanding of external factors impacting Customer’s supply Chain & understand their sense of urgency, service needs, drivers and desires.
Ability to align with customer expectations upfront & to be able to respond with suggested solutions
Be the primary point of contact for own customers and ensure smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle, including the inland delivery, by working closely with the customer as well as internal stakeholders.
Proactively track shipments and notify customers of relevant deviations from the transport plan, including potential solutions or alternatives.
Onboard customers and build strong and collaborative relationships, with willingness to go the extra mile towards the customers & with focus on providing solutions.
Liaising and preparing transport plan with suppliers
We are looking for
Project freight forwarding background with 3 - 5cyears’ experience
Experienced with sales support, tender management and operation
Extensive executional experience across all transport modes; ocean/air/truck/barge to include OOG cargo from A - Z
Good knowledge of local and international freight forwarding operation flow including customs clearance requirement
Customer facing engagements and presentations
Strong ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making across regions, product(s), and all stake-holders
Strong communication skills
Willingness to be attending site visits such as customers/ vendors visits, field operation and etc (If required)
Willingness to work out of office hours (If required)
Able to work independently, agile to changes and good team contributor
Able to maintain good relationship with all stakeholders. i.e. internal/ external customers, vendors – truckers, stevedores, port operators, carriers and etc
Ensure the procurement and evaluation of offers from sub-contractors are line with MPL standards
Documentation control for documents issued from MPL internal stakeholders
Responsible to maintain and update data integrity on TMS – Cargowise
