you will be a key driver in building high-quality network products and assets, to enable Maersk to optimize its product specific network and end to end supply chain optimization.

You will be part of Business Analytics & Network Desing team for Logistics & Services (L&S), responsible for establishing the network design capabilities for products across L&S. As a Network design lead, you will have a leading role in designing, building, maintaining, and iterating on network design products, play a key role in network optimization and unlock value through end to end supply chain optimization

Key responsibilities:

  • Design scalable, reliable, and efficient network solutions to meet L&S business needs
  • Plan for current and future network capacity and design based on the growth and expansion of L&S services
  • Perform root cause analysis on network failures or performance degradation, cost performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and select network technologies, equipment, and tools that align with the evolving needs of L&S businesses
  • Work with the Products team to roll out network planning models
  • Analyse data and work with data analytics to drive the value of any proposed Network solution
  • Support business deep dives, support in performance analytics and conduct scenario simulations and identify optimization opportunities to unlock bottom line impact
  • Resolve network issues, working with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions


To do this job, we imagine you have:

  • 12+ years of experience in network design, optimization, and management
  • Proficiency in using network management tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry experience in one or more: Combinatorial optimization problems (e.g., scheduling, vehicle routing, facility location, warehousing)
  • Good with Microsoft Excel, and preferred experience in network automation, using tools like Python
  • Familiarity with routing and optimization in large-scale networks.
  • Ability to work independently with stakeholders while liaising and reviewing with the team
  • Experience in Inland transportation and/or warehousing solution design will be a big plus
