Key responsibilities
The Head of Airfreight, Indonesia drives Air growth and profitability in Indonesia by translating global strategy and initiatives into Product, Carrier and Performance plans. This role is also responsible for delivering superior Customer Experience and Operational Execution to Maersk customers.
Strategy/Product Management
Key driver in Indonesia Growth through active participation on sales opportunities in Indonesia and with network
Identify market trends, opportunities and customer needs, and convert them into value for both Maersk and its customers.
Develop vertical strategy to deliver customer centric solutions and support airfreight business growth.
Build bridges between Product development, Operations and Sales, and collaborate between different product owners to deliver solutions to customers.
Carrier and Customer Relationship Management / Procurement
Strategic maker on procurement play in Indonesia
Drive cost reductions by optimal allocation with carriers and contracts
Actively build strong relationships with customers and own customer experience for the Airfreight customer service team.
Pricing Management
Responsible for all Air Freight Pricing activities including but not limited to Price setting, Strategy and Margins
Drive ROUTE Management for in/out of Indonesia
Operations Execution
Responsible for the end-to-end file execution to support our customers' success in a lean and cost-efficient manner
Commercial
Work with commercial teams to drive airfreight volume.
Performance Management
Manage and improve the performance of the airfreight service/product in Malaysia
Product profitability- Focus on maximize revenue, EBIT and GP through upselling and cost management
People Management
Coach, motivate and build a high performing team. Lead by example, inspire and energize the team
We are prioritizing local talent for this role.
We are looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience in airfreight forwarding
At least 3 years of proven leadership experience within airfreight forwarding
Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, or enhancing airfreight products to support customers across various industries and verticals
Regional exposure or experience supporting airfreight operations across multiple countries is an advantage
Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication and presentation skills
