Job Description

We are seeking a discreet, dependable, and highly professional Executive Protection Officer to support the personal protection of Maersk senior executives and designated family members.
The role sits within Protective Services under Global Security & Business Resilience and contributes directly to Maersk’s Executive Protection capability.

The position is centred on trusted, close-proximity protection, relationship management, and day-to-day executive support, requiring sound judgement, discretion, and a high degree of personal integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Protection

  • Provide close protection support for designated senior executives in connection with daily movements, meetings, and executive activities.
  • Conduct individual threat and risk assessments and support appropriate protective measures.
  • Act as a trusted, discreet point of contact for executives on security-related concerns.

Residential and Family Security

  • Support residential security planning and vulnerability assessments in coordination with approved vendors.
  • Maintain respectful and trusted interaction with designated family members when support is required.

Operational Readiness

  • Provide responsive support outside normal working hours when required by executive activity or security needs.
  • Ensure incidents, concerns, or changes are coordinated swiftly and professionally.
  • Produce concise documentation, reporting, and follow-up as required.

Supporting Activities (as part of Executive Protection)

  • Support executive travel security planning where relevant to the protection of the executive.
  • Support security planning for executive meetings or engagements when required.
    (These activities are part of Executive Protection delivery, not standalone responsibilities.)

Strategic Contribution

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and maturity of Executive Protection through lessons learned, refinement of standards, and input to training and methodologies.

Qualifications

Required

  • Danish citizenship, as the role must be eligible for national security clearance and cooperation with Danish authorities.
  • Background in law enforcement, military, diplomatic security, or corporate executive protection.
  • Strong experience in close protection and personal security operations.
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
  • Fluent in English and Danish.

Preferred

  • Experience from complex or elevated-risk environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO 31030.
  • Relevant professional certifications.
  • Medical first responder training.
