Job Description
Job Description:
Are you good at Purchase Order handling and driving process excellence?
We are looking for a structured, quality-focused professional who possesses strong business acumen and a proactive mindset. In this role, you will balance high-level operational execution with the ability to act as a subject matter expert, identifying process disruptions and implementing digital solutions to maintain first-class material management in the aviation aftermarket. The position is located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
What the job is ...
Joining a team of 15 dedicated colleagues, you will hold a key position that bridges the gap between daily supply management and strategic process development. Your dual focus involves coordinating efficient material flow from suppliers to our global warehouses (70% of the role) while simultaneously serving as a regional "insider" for the Process Community, driving tool enhancements and team training (30% of the role) to ensure we remain the most customer-centric organization in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage the placement of purchase orders triggered by market demand or Operational Planning requisitions.
- Follow up on confirmation dates and track goods in transit to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Create and maintain a daily order book overview to visualize status and required actions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and the company to resolve complex discrepancies; hold the mandate to contact and negotiate with vendors on behalf of the supply team to maintain flow.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Technical handling, Nonconformity management, Freshdesk, and Skywise analytics.
- Responsible for SAP incident handling and participating in User-Acceptance-Testing (UAT) for system updates.
- Prepare Work Instructions and conduct training for regional teams to implement new processes.
- Collect team input to drive continuous development of tools and processes in alignment with the Process Community.
- Utilize extensive E2E business knowledge to deep-dive into complex, transversal subjects, identifying root causes for systemic issues rather than just addressing symptoms.
- Lead and drive cross-functional meetings with relevant stakeholders (Quality, Finance, Customer Service) to resolve high-level escalations and spearhead end-to-end process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the first point of contact and escalation for complex cases requiring extra support.
- Build relationships with Customer Service, Quality, and Data Management to resolve discrepancies and quality issues.
- Act as a "Change Ambassador" for the region, ensuring all updates from the Process Community are effectively cascaded to the team and supporting the human aspect of digital transitions.
Qualifications
- You possess 3+ years of supply chain experience in a dynamic environment, ideally within the aerospace industry. You hold a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- You have strong technical SAP knowledge and see digitalization as a strategic opportunity. You are enthusiastic about adopting new systems and possess high digital acumen, including proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
- You have extensive End-to-End (E2E) business knowledge, allowing you to deep-dive into complex transversal subjects and maintain a global mindset when supporting internal planning or direct customers.
- You are skilled in Process Management and mapping. You are self-driven, willing to challenge the status quo, and can lead Change Management initiatives by supporting the team through the human aspects of organizational shifts.
- You are a methodical and data-driven team player. You use data to inform decisions and are proactive in identifying bottlenecks before they impact the supply chain.
- You have a proven ability in managing escalations and possess strong stakeholder management skills. You can constructively challenge others and provide a service-oriented approach to global stakeholders.
- You are highly independent and flexible, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a high-stakes aviation environment.
- You are fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for interacting within a global supply network.
