Job Description

As a Data Analyst Intern at Maersk, you will support our team by building dashboards, automating reports, and contributing to process‑improvement projects. This internship offers hands‑on experience in analytics within a global organization, all under full guidance, supervision, and a structured development plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, update and automate dashboards in Power BI.

  • Clean, structure and validate datasets for reporting and analysis.

  • Create recurring performance reports and support KPI tracking.

  • Contribute to improvement projects related to data and processes.

  • Support data quality efforts (anomaly detection, consistency checks).

  • Document methodologies, definitions, and workflow steps for traceability.

  • Translate reporting needs into clear technical tasks under supervision.

  • Prepare visual summaries and simple presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Active university student (proof of enrollment + student insurance required).

  • Eligible for a university‑authorized internship agreement (mandatory).

  • Degree in progress in: Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or similar.

  • English proficiency is required.

  • Skills in Power BI and Excel (advanced) are required.

  • Basic SQL or Python/R is a plus.

  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and curiosity to learn.

  • Ability to collaborate, ask questions, and work on supervised tasks.

  • Availability for a 12‑month internship in a hybrid schedule (Escazú office). #LI-MP1
