Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit compliant customs declarations for all cargo types.
- Ensure accurate HS code classification based on cargo description, value, freight, and insurance.
- Request, verify, and manage all required documents for customs clearance.
- Coordinate and execute transit operations (import, export, road, air, and border‑crossing).
- Maintain strong working relationships with customs authorities, terminals, vendors, and customers.
- Design and maintain SOPs aligned with local customs regulations and internal standards.
- Ensure timely delivery of all import/export declarations and transit movements.
- Validate and justify all financial documentation, including disbursement invoices.
- Ensure adherence to internal compliance controls and regulatory requirements.
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to process optimization.
- Support commercial activities and assist in developing team capability in customs and transit processes.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regulatory updates to staff and clients.

Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant certification or training in Customs, Logistics, Clearing & Forwarding, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in customs declaration or customs compliance roles.
- Experience dealing with customs authorities and regulatory institutions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Fluency in French and English is an advantage.
- Experience with vendor management or transit operations is beneficial.
