Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Customs and Dangerous Goods Compliance Manager (f/m) to join our Flight Hour Services based in Toulouse, France.

As part of the Flight Hour Services (FHS) Team , you will be involved in establishing custom Solutions aiming at defining the customs Industrial set-up solution of the Airbus FHS organization and secure dangerous goods compliance.

At the heart of a stimulating Architect team, you will interact with other internal / external parties and contribute to secure, standardize and build the Airbus FHS of tomorrow.

Your challenges:

  • Customs Compliance: (70%)
    • Global Framework: Design and implement worldwide customs procedures tailored to FHS operations; oversee relationships with Customs Authorities.
    • Risk Management: Prevent and control financial risks related to customs formalities and ensure the accuracy of all trade declarations (Intrastat, etc.).
    • Operational Excellence: Provide expert classification of materials (HS codes) and support resolutions of operational escalations to ensure timely, compliant clearance.
    • Risk & Audit: Lead internal compliance audits and manage the relationship with Customs Authorities. Oversee the accuracy of declarations and proactively manage post-clearance corrections.
    • Broker & Partner Management: Set high-performance standards for external customs brokers and third-party providers, ensuring they meet Airbus’s strict compliance and lead-time requirements.
    • Contractual & Legal Advisory: Partner with Procurement and Sales to embed robust customs and Incoterms clauses into FHS service contracts, mitigating financial and legal liability.
    • Forecasting : Set yearly forecast and address Customs budget follow up
    • Industrial setup an d transformation : lead continuous improvement initiatives and provide customs expert support in any transformation project or new operational setups.
  • Dangerous Goods Compliance : (30%)
    • Dangerous Goods Safety Domain Expertise: Act as the FHS subject matter expert for Dangerous Goods, ensuring every shipment complies with IATA regulations.
    • Operational Standards: Define and enforce strict procedures for UN-certified packaging, labeling, and Documentation (Shipper’s Declaration).
    • Lifecycle Management: Manage the lifecycle of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure the high-integrity tracking of DG movements across the network.
    • Permit & License Oversight: Monitor the acquisition and renewal of specific DG permits and environmental authorizations required.

Your boarding pass:

  • Degree in International Trade or International transport or International Laws is a significant advantage
  • 5+ years of experience in Customs/Dangerous Goods or international logistics.
  • knowledge in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) ideally within the aeronautic aftermarket sector is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is a significant advantage.
  • Fluent in English (written/spoken) with the ability to simplify complex legal requirements for operational teams.
  • Valid IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) or Safety Advisor certification is highly desirable.
