The Opportunity

Maersk is strengthening its Cold Store Netherlands operation - a strategically important, import‑focused hub within Northern Europe. To support this growth, we are looking for an experienced Cold Chain Sales Executive who can actively drive commercial expansion in the Dutch market.

This is not a general logistics sales role. Success in this position requires hands‑on experience in cold storage or temperature‑controlled logistics and the ability to engage customers commercially from day one.

About the Role

As a Cold Chain Sales Executive, you will be on the frontline of commercial growth for our cold storage business. You will convert Contract Logistics and Cold Chain opportunities into cold store volume and revenue, working closely with customers, operations, and product teams.

You will engage directly with importers and exporters of fresh produce, protein, fish, and other temperature‑controlled commodities, positioning Cold Store Netherlands as a preferred European import hub for trade lanes from Latin America, India, South Africa, and beyond.

The role requires an entrepreneurial sales mindset, strong market credibility, and the ability to navigate a complex cold storage environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively source and develop new business for cold storage and reefer solutions
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of cold chain customers in the Dutch market
  • Identify, qualify, and convert opportunities into long‑term partnerships
  • Build tailored commercial solutions based on customer pain points and cold chain requirements
  • Position Cold Store Netherlands as a strategic import hub for key global trade lanes
  • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and contract closure
  • Develop pricing proposals and manage commercial terms
  • Work closely with Operations, Product, and Account Management to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery
  • Strengthen Maersk’s end‑to‑end cold chain offering, including cold storage, reefer transport, customs brokerage, and integrated logistics solutions

Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in cold storage or temperature‑controlled logistics
  • Background in sales, commercial, or account management roles within the cold chain
  • Strong understanding of the Dutch cold chain market and customer landscape
  • Existing customer credibility and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable with hunting, relationship‑led selling, and long‑term customer engagement
  • Enjoys being in the market, meeting customers, and building trust over time
  • Able to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver commercial results
