Job Description
Job Purpose/summary
- Provide Incident and Claims handling support for H&M/P&I matters across
business. - Handle administrative tasks for effective claims handling and data
management using requisite system & processes.
Key responsibilities
- Handling incidents and claims in co-operation with internal stakeholders and
external insurers. - Appointing appropriate experts, surveyors, on timely basis.
- Support Data management initiatives within department for claims and loss
prevention activities. - Assist in driving key objectives for the team.
- To assist in reviewing/adjusting Invoicing from P&I Clubs, Underwriters,
Brokers, and other vendors. - Manage total cost of risk (“TCOR”) reporting within the vessel claims sphere.
- Prepare monthly performance reports for head of marine claims.
Required experience & skills
- Maritime graduate /PG with 5 + years of shore experience in Maritime Claims.
- Knowledge on various shipping lines trades and operations.
- Charter party and Maritime Law knowledge essential.
- Knowledge on Insurance & underwriting principles is preferred.
- Effective communication skills ensuring clear, direct and appropriate
communication at multiple organisation levels. - Strong interpersonal skills and persistent focus on long term business goals
- Highly result oriented, ready to take challenges and able to work under
pressure to meet deadlines. - Proactive problem-solving ability with analytical thought process.

- Demonstrable ability to work without supervision and deliver business
expectations - Performance minded with a strong strive to deliver results above expectations.
- Proven stakeholder management and conflict resolution skill.
- Strategic and business supportive mind-set (balancing legal and commercial
