Job Description

Maersk H2S Safety Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to lead and manage our transformation and strategy initiatives. As a leading safety services provider in the offshore oil and gas industry, we are committed to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in our business processes.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving transformational change across the organization by implementing the strategic plans and initiatives that optimize our operations and deliver exceptional results. This role will report directly to the Managing Director of Maersk H2S Safety Service A/S, Denmark and work closely with other senior leaders to ensure that our transformational goals are aligned with the company's overall vision and mission.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Australia. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the driving force behind our transformation and strategy initiatives, leading the charge in optimizing operations and delivering exceptional results. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders across 10 global business units to align our transformational goals with the company's vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement our strategies that enhance organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and performance

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement across all areas of the business

  • Develop and lead the execution of strategic projects and initiatives that deliver measurable results.

  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the progress of transformational initiatives

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including executive leaders, functional leaders, and external partners

  • Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure that the company remains competitive and innovative

  • Strategic Implementation: Execute strategies that boost organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and performance across the board.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across the company to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.

  • Project Leadership: Develop and lead strategic projects and initiatives that deliver measurable results and drive transformational change.

  • KPI Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track the progress of our initiatives and ensure alignment with our strategic goals.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leaders, functional heads, and external partners.

  • Industry Insight: Stay on top of industry trends and best practices to keep our company competitive and innovative.

We are looking for

You are a proven leader with a strong track record in transformational change management, strategic planning, or related fields. Your technical background or interest gives you an edge in understanding the complex challenges of the industries we serve. While knowledge of the oil & gas and maritime sectors is a plus, it’s your leadership skills, analytical mindset, and ability to drive results that will set you apart. Workplace is Sales, Vic, AUS.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in transformational change management or strategic planning within a complex organization.

  • Demonstrated success in leading initiatives that deliver measurable results.

  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong project management skills, capable of juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Expect around 40-50 travel days per year.
