The Role: Auto Electrician
As an Auto Electrician at APM Terminals Liberia, you will play a key role in keeping our terminal equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing electrical faults, performing repairs, and ensuring accurate reporting in our maintenance systems. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly impact operational reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong safety culture and comply with HSE standards, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on heavy terminal equipment (RTGs, reach stackers, trucks, etc.)
- Execute planned and breakdown maintenance tasks according to OEM standards
- Accurately record work details and root causes of failures in the CMMS system
- Support investigations into electrical failures and incidents
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve reliability and optimize costs
What We’re Looking For
Lean-minded: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.
- Technical diploma or equivalent in Auto Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance of heavy equipment
- OEM training or apprenticeship is a plus
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English
- Familiarity with basic software tools (Excel, Word)
