Job Description:
The purpose of this role is to drive a reduction in technical downtime impacting manufacturing efficiency and overall production output targets, through the successful implementation of area reliability initiatives, strategies, and specific projects to increase asset reliability and reduce asset downtime.
The Area Reliability Technician will lead the successful identification, planning and delivery of tasks to deliver improvements within their area of ownership, working closely with their peers, shift maintenance team and operations in driving and delivering best practice and results across their area of responsibility.
What are we looking for?
- HNC/HND level, recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in an Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic discipline.
- Keen fixer and problem solver, able to conduct root cause analysis of technical issues.
- Demonstrable experience working in a maintenance or reliability area.
- A continuous improvement mentality, someone who loves to tinker and try to find a better way of doing things.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Diagnose and fix plant and site services reliability and breakdown issues across your responsibility area.
- Drive technical training and knowledge sharing across various teams within Mars
- Management of contractors within your area of responsibility
- Implementation of site safety and quality standards ensuring conformity across assets.
