Job Description

At Liberis, our mission is to empower small and medium-sized businesses by removing finance as a friction to growth, delivering contextual, embedded financial solutions to support merchants at every stage of their business lifecycle.

The role

As a Partner Manager, you will be responsible for owning and growing a portfolio of strategic embedded finance partners. This role is equal parts relationship management, commercial ownership, product expansion and operational excellence.

You will act as the primary point of contact for each partner - ensuring they deliver strong merchant engagement, achieve revenue goals, maintain operational quality, and expand the partnership into new product lines and merchant segments.

You maximise the value of each partnership by driving sustainable, long-term commercial performance across the full merchant lifecycle, not just initial originations.

What you will be doing

Relationship Ownership & Executive Engagement

  • Act as the primary relationship owner for assigned partners across operational and senior stakeholder levels.
  • Build strong relationships across Product, Commercial, Risk, Marketing, Operations and Data teams.
  • Lead regular governance meetings, QBRs and performance reviews.
  • Position Liberis as a trusted advisor on embedded finance best practices.

Commercial Growth & Performance Management

  • Own commercial performance across revenue, funding volumes, renewals, retention and portfolio quality.
  • Identify opportunities to grow merchant adoption, product usage and customer lifetime value.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, blockers and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Analytics and Finance teams on forecasting, reporting and performance tracking.

Partnership Expansion & Product Growth

  • Support the rollout of new financial products, features and merchant propositions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships into new markets, segments and business lines.
  • Work closely with Product and Solutions teams on integrations, enhancements and launch plans.
  • Assess the commercial impact and scalability of new initiatives.

Operational Excellence & Partner Experience

  • Monitor operational performance, integration health and the end-to-end merchant journey.
  • Proactively resolve operational issues, risks and process inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Risk and Underwriting teams to manage escalations and improve outcomes.

Partner Enablement

  • Support partners with training, tools, insights and marketing initiatives to drive programme success.
  • Collaborate on co-marketing campaigns, merchant education and partner communications.
  • Encourage adoption of dashboards and reporting tools to support data-led decisions.

Data, Insights & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Own reporting cadences and performance updates for assigned partners.
  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for partners and internal teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver strategic initiatives, product improvements and scalable growth.

What we think you'll need

  • Proven experience in fintech partnerships, embedded finance or lending platform roles.
  • Proven experience managing complex B2B2B or B2B2C fintech partnerships with commercial accountability.
  • Strong commercial acumen and comfort owning revenue and P&L-linked KPIs.
  • Analytical skills with experience interpreting funnel data, renewals, and financial metrics.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage long-term initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Hands-on understanding of embedded finance, lending workflows, underwriting concepts, and partner integrations.
