As a Grants Deployment Support (Post-Funding) Project Manager, you’ll use your enthusiasm for innovation to help dozens of ambitious businesses keep their award winning projects on track, ensuring that our clients receive their grant funding allocations on time and that project beneficiaries continue to benefit from award winning innovations, across a diverse range of sectors. You’ll split your time between managing tailored project delivery timelines for each client; maintaining and collating project data; managing communications between clients, technical leads and funders; supporting technical leads by reviewing funder requested documentation; arranging, chairing and recording project progress meetings and undertaking any other tasks as required to provide a seamless delivery on project set-up and reporting.

Within 3 months, you’ll be expected to gain a deep understanding of the funding landscape and associated reporting requirements, be able to effectively deliver a wide portfolio of projects to scope and on time, and to be able to confidently manage complex consortia, dealing with blockers & change requests in a proactive & flexible manner.

On a typical day you might:

  • Set-up project delivery timelines in Asana for new Grants Deployment Support clients

  • Arrange kick-off calls with new clients

  • Running kick off calls and regular check-ins via Google Meet

  • Creating & maintaining client G-Drive folders

  • Arranging & attending regular progress meetings

  • Supporting technical leads with project delivery & ad-hoc requests

  • Compiling & tailoring background information for technical leads

  • Managing all correspondence between clients & technical leads

  • Working with the Finance Team & Grants Operations Manager to track invoice payments and timesheets

  • Working with the GDS Project Delivery Manager to report on progress updates, blockers and change requests across the project portfolio

Requirements

  • Availability for a subcontracted position, taking on and flexing up your time commitments with GrantTree based on the number of clients live at any given time

  • 3+ years experience in client facing project management role

  • UK daytime working hours availability

  • UK Based with Right To Work

  • Knowledge of/experience working with government funding programmes which may include; Innovate UK, UKRI, European Commission (Horizon, EIC, LIFE)

  • Familiarity and/or willingness to work with clients via Slack, G-Drive, Google workspace, Asana etc.

  • Experience in managing complex collaborations/consortiums

  • Professional home working environment with super fast internet connection

  • Your own working equipment

Desirable / Advantageous

  • Agile / Prince 2 Project Management qualifications

  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders

  • Experience working with SMEs, particularly in the context of innovation, research and development

  • Experience using PM systems & tools, such as Asana, Jira, Monday, Trello, Kanban etc.

Salary and Benefits

GrantTree will offer a daily rate of £300.00-£500.00, depending upon experience. In addition to your day rate, we are offering a place where you can be yourself, develop your skills and fulfil your potential. We also have a flexible approach to working.
