Job Description

Millions of people use Flexa to find a company they’ll truly thrive in, finding their perfect companies using our granular filters backed up by our unique verified data.

The way we work has changed forever. People care about more than their job description – they want to work somewhere that aligns with their values, their energy, and their ideal way of working. And while companies used to rely on external recruitment partners and job boards to fulfil their talent attraction goals - now they want to build stand-out EVPs and promote their employer brands to access the best people organically and to grow sustainably.

There isn’t a single person at Flexa who doesn’t feel passionate about the Evolution of Work and our future-facing, ambitious view of the world shines through in our own culture as well as our product.

The Role 🎯

Flexa’s Product and Data team plays a critical role in building brilliant products, using the bank of data we generate every day to create meaningful insights and features that facilitate business growth and user satisfaction. You’ll be joining a passionate team where you can make a real difference in shaping our mission to bring true transparency to the hiring process, while also helping build a brand new data platform.

As the sole data analyst on our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of our new data-driven platform. This is a brand new product which will utilise the vast dataset we have built over the last four years to generate insights that inform the best companies’ talent attraction efforts. Leveraging your expertise in data analysis and data structuring, you will lead the effort to compile and analyse our extensive dataset and help us figure out how to develop it to maximise integrity. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the design and development of the data architecture, ensuring scalability and efficiency in handling large volumes of data. Your primary responsibilities will be organising and analysing the data in a way that is optimal for providing insights to our customers and to lead the charge with internal data management and analysis of our key growth and product metrics. You will be instrumental in the development of an exciting new product as well as facilitating the growth of the wider company.

Key Attributes We're Looking For 🔑

  • At least 3 years experience in with data analysis tools

  • Proficiency in structuring and organising large datasets

  • Experience with data management systems (e.g. MongoDB), warehousing solutions (e.g. Google BigQuery) and visualisation (e.g. Looker Studio, Tableau)

  • Ability to perform complex data analysis to inform product development

  • Experience in writing code for data analysis (e.g. Python, Scala)

  • Expert problem solving skills; you’ll be capable of exploring and experimenting with innovative techniques to enhance data analysis

  • Understanding and interest in the company’s growth; you’ll own the growth and product metric tracking and will need to be able to report on relevant changes in line with the business’ goals

  • A self starter; you’ll be the first data hire in a startup and need to feel comfortable taking ownership of all things data related

  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders

  • A 'can-do' attitude – this is a startup environment, and we thrive on those who take initiative and can tackle challenges with creativity

Nice-to-Haves ✅

  • Experience in a startup environment where you’ve been involved in taking a product from 0-1 would be amazing, but not essential
