Senior Digital Content Executive

Branding, Marketing and Communications (BMC)

Level 2.5: Supervising Associate

Location: Regional (outside London)

Hybrid working: Currently minimum one day per week in the office

Our strategy in the UK is laser focused around these issues. This is role is part of a newly formed team that will transform EY.com in the UK to give an incredible client experience that makes us discoverable, lands our messages, build consideration and converts site visits into conversations.

As part of a Digital Content team, this role will help to create content on ey.com that demonstrates to our clients our distinctive thinking, bold insights and innovative services that position us to as the firm that can best help them to solve their biggest issues.

The team will create bespoke content for ey.com, adapt materials from other campaigns into compelling digital content and localise Globally created articles and thought leadership to be relevant to the UK. This will require close working with stakeholders in Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) and the wider business. It will also involve updating product and service pages as required, maintaining or creating senior people profiles and creating ey.com presence relevant corporate content such as our Annual Impact Report.

The Senior Digital Content Executive will work on projects to create ey.com presence for EY’s main corporate stories (for example our annual impact report), as well as supporting on other firm-wide initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

  • Drafting copy and identifying images for content creation projects as briefed by a Digital Portfolio Manager.
  • Supporting the Digital Content Managers in providing guidance and advice to BMC teams on best digital creative approach for activities that require ey.com presence
  • Ensure that all work follows brand guidelines and is approved through the SCORE brand approval process
  • Work with Digital Technical Manager to ensure that all copy is optimised for search
  • Work with the Digital Technical Manager to ensure that page builders have correct briefs to enable accurate and timely publishing

Skills and attributes for success

  • Excellent creative writing skills and ability to think verbally and visually to create compelling digital content
  • Ability to use AI tools to make the process of developing messaging and drafting copy more efficient, whilst using human skills to ensure distinctive, engaging content.
  • Positive and proactive mindset, with the ability to engage stakeholders with the vision for ey.com
  • Stakeholder management skills, and ability to gain consensus about content direction in a complex organisation
  • Working knowledge of SEO and optimising digital content to support campaign search objectives and buyer journey.
  • Time and project management skills – highly organised with a sound attention to detail and an ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Experience in professional services or a related industry, with clear understanding of external markets and the backdrop against which a lot of our of content is produced and written.
  • Expertise in writing to brand style guidelines.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 3+ years’ experience of working in a marketing copywriting or journalistic role in a business environment
  • Knowledge of the UK business environment, gained from working in a professional services environment or similar, or else from working as a journalist in a related field
  • Experience of working with website teams, and following relevant technical requirements
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to understand briefs, gain support for creative direction and for final outputs.
