Senior Consultant, Health, People Consulting

Overview

Organisations across the health and care sector are facing unprecedented workforce challenges driven by increasing demand, workforce shortages, financial pressures, digital transformation and changing patient expectations. Within People Consulting, we help health and care organisations put people at the centre of transformation, ensuring they have the workforce, capabilities, operating models and culture required to deliver sustainable improvement.

As part of our Health Workforce Transformation & People Experience team, you will work alongside experienced consultants and healthcare leaders to support clients across NHS providers, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), national bodies and the wider health ecosystem.

You will contribute to the delivery of transformation programmes across areas including:

• Workforce Transformation
• Digital Transformation
• Change Management & Communications
• Organisation Design & Operating Models
• Workforce Productivity & Improvement
• Future Workforce & Strategic Workforce Planning
• Culture, Leadership & Employee Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of people-focused transformation programmes across health and care organisations.
• Support project management, reporting, risk management and delivery activities.
• Undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify workforce and organisational improvement opportunities.
• Develop client deliverables, presentations and communications materials.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Support workforce transformation, organisational design and change management initiatives.
• Contribute to proposals, bids and business development activities.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coach and support more junior team members where appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant health related subject or a related field or equivalent experience.

• Professional services experience in a healthcare context.

• In-depth knowledge of the UK healthcare trends in the UK.

Skills & Experience

• Experience within healthcare consulting, the NHS, Integrated Care Systems or wider health sector transformation.
• Understanding of workforce, organisational and operational challenges across health and care.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience supporting transformation, improvement or change programmes.
• Interest in people-centred transformation and workforce innovation.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Location:

This role is based in London or one our EY’s regional offices. National travel will be required as will travel to our EY Headquarters.
