Shape trust and confidence by helping organisations manage risk

Programme overview

On the Risk Consulting Graduate Programme, you’ll shape the future with confidence by helping organisations anticipate, manage and respond to risk in a rapidly changing world. You’ll apply structured thinking and problem-solving to business challenges, collaborating with EY teams and clients and across Ireland. Using data, technology and sound judgement, you’ll build future‑focused skills and deliver meaningful, trusted impact.

Core skills for success

  • Analytical and systems thinking - Apply structured problem‑solving and judgement to assess risks, evaluate controls and deliver insights clients can trust.

  • Professionalism and integrity - Act with accountability and judgement to generate reliable insights and strengthen trust.

  • Ownership and proactive mindset - Willing to take responsibility for outcomes, spotting risks and issues early and driving high‑quality solutions.

  • Collaboration, communication and relationship building - Work closely with teams and clients, listening to and explaining complex issues clearly.

  • Curiosity and motivation - Continuously develop your understanding of risk, controls, business processes and emerging challenges.

What you will be doing

  • Work on internal audit and risk consulting engagements across a range of sectors, helping clients strengthen governance, manage risk and improve the effectiveness of their control environments.

  • Apply structured and critical thinking, and data analytics driven insights to assess risks, test financial and business controls and provide independent, trusted evaluations.

  • Collaborate with teams and clients to evaluate processes, challenge assumptions and communicate findings clearly and confidently.

  • Build your professional judgement, integrity and confidence through hands‑on experience, coaching and structured learning.
