The opportunity

As part of Global Growth & Innovation (G&I), the Alliances & Ecosystems team plays a critical role in accelerating growth, creating differentiated client value and enabling EY's transformation agenda through strategic relationships across the technology ecosystem.

The Global Alliances & Ecosystems Executive Communications and Strategic Programs Associate Director is a newly created role that will report to the Growth & Innovation Communications Leader and serve as a trusted communications advisor across the Alliances leadership team.

This role will shape and drive a strategic communications agenda that positions the Alliances 30x30 vision as an enterprise-wide growth priority—building understanding of the value of the ecosystem and securing leadership commitment to embed alliances across service lines, sectors and regions to accelerate activation and impact.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Alliances & Ecosystems leadership team, the Alliances & Ecosystems BMC leader, and key Operations teams, and communications professionals across Growth & Innovation, Clients & Industries and service lines. The role requires a highly collaborative and commercially minded professional who thrives in a complex, fast-paced environment and can navigate complexity while delivering communications of the highest quality.

The role will play a critical part in helping leaders effectively navigate the communications ecosystem, align messaging across stakeholders and priorities, and build stronger connectivity between Alliances and broader Growth & Innovation and service line initiatives. The role will also require focus on the EY-Microsoft Value Creation Initiative (Project Atlas), a critical program designed to deepen EY's relationship with Microsoft and accelerate joint value creation.

Your key responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior Alliances & Ecosystems leaders, including GE-level stakeholders.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that advances the Alliances & Ecosystems agenda and supports delivery of the Alliances 30x30 vision.
  • Partner with leaders to evolve a compelling and differentiated narrative that demonstrates how alliances create value for clients, EY people and the business.
  • Develop executive communications, leadership messaging, strategic narratives and communications programs that elevate the profile and impact of the Alliances organization.
  • Help senior leaders navigate the communications ecosystem, identifying opportunities, risks, stakeholder considerations and alignment requirements.
  • Provide counsel and communications support to the Global Vice Chair – Alliances & Ecosystems and the broader Alliances leadership team.
  • Support the communications strategy for the EY-Microsoft Value Creation Initiative (Project Atlas), working with the BMC leader supporting the Microsoft Alliance, and ensuring strong alignment with broader Alliances, Consulting, G&I and org-wide priorities.
  • Foster strong connectivity across the Alliances portfolio, ensuring consistency of messaging, priorities and communications approaches.
  • Partner with G&I communications teams to integrate alliances priorities into broader strategic initiatives and enterprise narratives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Alliances Chief of Staff, BMC Alliances and Ecosystems leadership team, and Operations teams to support key business priorities, leadership moments, executive engagements and organizational milestones.
  • Build strong relationships across the BMC organization, helping ensure visibility, alignment and prioritization of alliance communications priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to amplify alliance successes, innovation, client impact and market momentum.
  • Maintain exceptional quality standards and ensure communications outputs are consistently executive-ready, audience-centric and aligned with EY's strategic priorities.

The holder of this role will have:

  • Business acumen: Strong understanding of EY’s business model, growth agenda and operating environment.
  • Technology fluency: Strong understanding of technology trends, AI, cloud platforms, digital transformation and ecosystem models. Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business narratives.
  • Global perspective: Deep understanding of global business dynamics and the ability to navigate and manage communications across diverse cultural and geographical contexts.
  • Organizational excellence: Highly developed planning, prioritization and coordination skills.
  • Writing and storytelling: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complexity into clear, impactful messaging.
  • Stakeholder management: Strong relationship‑building skills and confidence working with senior leaders across a matrix organization.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly across BMC, G&I, C&I, service lines, Regions and global programs, driving influence and building relationships.
  • Agility and adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business requirements and constant transformation.
  • Innovation: A forward-thinking approach to communications, continuously seeking new and creative ways to engage and inspire EY teams.
