Job Description

The Role

Deliveroo HOP is our rapid grocery delivery service, and it is a core pillar of our global growth strategy. As the Director and Head of Project Management of Deliveroo HOP Italy, you will be the primary architect behind our dark stores network and localized grocery solutions, also owning the P&L of Hop in Italy.

This is a Dirigente-level position reporting directly to the General Manager. You aren't just managing tasks; you are building a nationwide infrastructure from the ground up, navigating complex regulatory landscapes, and leading a cross-functional team to deliver "the future of food" to Italian doorsteps in minutes. You will also be the commercial point of reference for Delivero Hop Italy

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Ownership: Lead high level negotiations and be responsible for the commercial delivery of the P&L for Hop in Italy, including annual plan and weekly targets

  • Strategy: Work with GM and HQ teams to set the annual strategy and financial plan for Deliveroo Hop in Italy.

  • HOP evangelist: Represent Hop Italy in wider company forums and initiatives to ensure Hop gets what it needs to deliver on the plan.

  • Leadership: Lead a cross functional team in Italy and act as the bridge between Global Commercial teams (London HQ), local Real Estate, Commercial, and Operations teams.

  • Partnership development: Work with partners across operations, supply chain, marketing and HQ to ensure delivery of the plan

  • Commercial Excellence: Oversee the P&L ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Team Building: Mentor and grow a high-performing team including a Trade Marketing Manager and Vendors Managers, fostering a culture of ownership and data-driven decision-making.

Who You Are

  • The Strategic Operator: You have 10+ years of experience in high-growth environments (Food Delivery, Dark Store, Retail, or Logistics) with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/Dirigente role

  • The Expansion Expert: You have a proven track record of scaling physical infrastructure or complex operations across the Italian market.

  • A Natural Negotiator: You can navigate the complexities of the Italian business landscape, from local municipalities to major third-party partners.

  • Analytical & Decisive: You use data to solve problems but have the "gut instinct" to move fast when a window of opportunity opens.

Linguistic Versatility: Native-level fluency in Italian and professional proficiency in English are essential.
