Job Description
SMB Account Manager (Italian Speaking)
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Commercial team sits at the centre of Deliveroo’s marketplace—shaping how we serve restaurants, grocers, and new verticals worldwide. From negotiating key partnerships to unlocking new revenue streams and crafting data-led growth strategies, we take on big challenges that move the business forward. If you thrive in fast-paced, commercial environments and want to influence the future of a global brand—this is the team for you.
We’re looking for an SMB Account Manager to join our Manchester team. In this role, you’ll help our restaurant partners grow their businesses by improving their delivery operations, attracting new customers, and leveraging our latest technology.
Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the SMB (Small Medium Business) team. We focus on high-volume, desk-based relationship management, acting as the primary link between Deliveroo and our diverse partner base to ensure they get the very best out of our platform.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Strategic Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of accounts through a desk-based model, using email, phone, and video calls to drive partner success.
Consultative Growth: Guide partners on how to improve the delivery experience and adopt new technology and perks to stay competitive.
Campaign Execution: Drive engagement with national and local marketing opportunities to improve key metrics, including order volume growth and partner retention.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise between your restaurants and internal Deliveroo teams to ensure our solutions are delivered according to specific partner needs.
Relationship Development: Initiate and maintain favourable, long-term relationships that drive positive commercial outcomes for both the partner and Deliveroo.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Bilingual Fluency: Full professional fluency in both Italian and English is essential for this role.
Account Management Expertise: A proven track record in an account management or similar commercial role, with experience in telephone-based support and sales.
Data-Led Problem Solving: The ability to understand complex problems and get to the crux of an issue quickly using data, without over-complicating solutions.
Effective Communication: An excellent phone manner with the ability to remove barriers through creative thinking and persuasive communication.
Tech Enthusiasm: A genuine interest in technology and a keenness to learn how our platform tools can help partners excel in a digital marketplace.
