We are looking for a new Developer with a natural drive and the willingness and ability to take the lead on complex design and software initiatives for our Fundamental Data Platform Team. Is that you?

The role

You will be working with forefront technologies such as AWS and CI/CD deployments on a microservice architecture – it’s critical that the technologies we use are leading-edge, aligning with our vision to create the best trading support tools. This is a central focus point for our Development Department, and we prioritize you becoming an integral part of that vision. We are not just talking about new technologies, we are seizing the opportunities – investing both time and money into your education, understanding the necessity of investment to achieve improvement.

The position is based in either our Copenhagen or Aalborg office. For this role, we are hiring based on your skills as well as desires. Currently, our primary focus is to establish our fundamental data store, migrate a legacy system to it, and hereafter work on scaling this platform and its capabilities.

We are establishing a new team, and you will have plenty of opportunity to shape the way we work. How often do you get the chance to work in a new team, on a young product, and actively take part in how it is being built?

The ideal candidate

Most important is that you have a passion for delivering high quality software solutions. It is as simple as that. Furthermore, the ideal candidate:

  • Has around 3-5 years of relevant experience with software development,

  • Ideally holds a relevant education within computer science or a related field,

  • Likes close collaboration with internal customers on all phases of a products life cycle,

  • Is a team player that wants the team to succeed together,

  • Strives to learn and understand the energy trading business domain,

  • Likes to explore new technologies and continuously expands skill set.

To name some of the technologies in our technology stack:

  • Python, C# .NET,

  • AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.), Azure DevOps (CI/CD),

  • Kafka, SQL (Postgres), API interfaces (REST, GraphQL).

All supporting our Cloud first agenda. It would be an advantage if you are familiar with some of the items in our technology stack.

As a Developer you’ll be part of a skilled Kanban team in our Development Department, consisting of more than 70 colleagues. You can look forward to a diverse role, where you’ll be working with various technologies and development tasks, with a consistent focus on software development in C# .NET, Python, automated tests and deployments to enable continuous delivery.
