About the Role:

Are you passionate about driving smart deal decisions and partnering cross-functionally to get deals across the finish line? The Deal Strategist acts as a trusted advisor to our Sales and Customer Success teams — guiding deal structure, quoting, and order form creation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and speed.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with teams across the organization to accelerate deal velocity, streamline the Quote-to-Cash process, and help shape how Camunda scales through its next stage of growth.

What You Will Do:

  • Trusted advisor & go-to resource for assigned sales region on deal structure, quoting, and order form creation; advises on alternate contract options to drive deal closure

  • Primary point of contact for all questions related to deal structure, opportunity booking, subscription mgt and license delivery

  • Monitors the Sales Support slack channel to respond to questions

  • Supports assigned sales region through the quote to cash process

  • Manages issues through slack and confluence handbook updates

  • Resolves booking errors for assigned region through Debooks/Rebooks; Refunds; Internal corrections

  • Partners with cross-functional teams (Legal, Accounting, Partners, Revenue Operations) to support the Quote to Cash process

  • Understands the license fulfillment process and provides guidance to the field

  • Responsible for reviewing opportunities to result in accurate booking metrics (ARR, Amount, Services) & 1:1 relationship between NetSuite Invoice & SFDC Opportunity is accurate

  • Maintains subscription data, partnering with Revenue Operations to ensure a 1:1 relationship between subscription and renewal opportunity

  • Collaborates with impacted parties to identify solutions for common QTC errors

  • Participate in sales region forecast calls, QBRs, & EoQ Daily Standups

What You Will Bring to the Role:

Must Haves:

Deal Desk / Revenue Operations Experience

  • 2–4 years in Deal Desk, Pricing, or Revenue Operations, ideally within a SaaS environment.

Salesforce Expertise

  • Proficiency in navigating Opportunities, Quotes, and Products; understands Opportunity lifecycle from Quote to Cash.

Quote-to-Cash Understanding

  • Familiarity with how quoting, pricing, contracting, billing, and renewals connect across systems.

Analytical & Detail-Oriented Mindset

  • Comfortable working with ARR, TCV, discounts, and revenue metrics; ensures data accuracy.

Strong Communication & Cross-Functional Skills

  • Able to partner effectively with Sales, Finance, and Legal; communicates clearly and proactively.

Process-Driven & Accountable

  • Self-starter who can manage multiple deals, follow processes, and maintain compliance.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with CPQ Tools (DealHub, Salesforce CPQ, or similar)

  • Understanding of guided quoting workflows and approval processes.

    • Exposure to Contract Management Systems (Ironclad, Conga, etc.)

    • Familiarity with order form or MSA workflows.

  • Knowledge of SaaS Metrics and Renewal Models

    • Experience with ARR, expansions, downgrades, or renewal forecasting.

  • Pricing and Discounting Strategy Experience

    • Familiarity with commercial policy enforcement and deal margin analysis.

  • Global Team Experience

    • Comfort working across time zones and regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC).

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset

    • Interest in automation, process design, or system optimization projects (e.g., Q2C).

What We Have to Offer:

Compensation

We offer competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location-based, with Standard and Major markets (global tech hubs) reflecting local competition.

The Annual Total Target Cash (base salary + 100% variable target, where applicable) shown below spans from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and we typically hire in the first half of the range to allow room for growth:

  • United States: $100,400.00 to $161,800.00

  • Germany: €64,900.00 to €107,300.00

  • United Kingdom: £63,000.00 to £103,700.00

  • Singapore: S$124,600.00 to S$186,900.00

If you’re based elsewhere, you’ll be hired via Remote.com (our global employer partner), and your Talent Acquisition Partner will provide a personalized Total Rewards Calculator after your first interview.
