About the role

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the technical response to public and private sector bids, proposals and tenders, bringing together requirements, solution designs and compelling customer presentations.
  • Design secure, resilient and commercially viable solutions across telecommunications, connectivity, unified communications or computing infrastructure.
  • Coordinate technical, security, service and commercial specialists, ensuring every part of the solution works together and meets the customer’s requirements.

  • Broad infrastructure solution design: Practical experience designing solutions in at least one of the following areas: telecommunications and connectivity, including LAN, WAN, MPLS, IP, SD-WAN, optical transport or DWDM; unified communications and collaboration; or on-premises, cloud-hosted or hybrid computing infrastructure.
  • Customer-led end-to-end architecture: Ability to translate customer business, operational and technical requirements into secure, deliverable and commercially viable solutions, taking ownership of the architecture and bringing multiple technical and non-technical contributors together.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience working in Defence, Government, Critical National Infrastructure or another highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of secure interconnection services, network security or boundary protection solutions.
  • Understanding of Secure by Design, security assurance, risk management or relevant NCSC guidance.
  • Experience developing technology roadmaps, transition strategies or long-term architectural plans.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering or Defence architecture frameworks.
  • Relevant professional certification, such as TOGAF, CISSP, CCNP/CCIE, Juniper, Fortinet, AWS or Azure.
  • Current or previously held Security Check clearance would be useful, although it is not essential at application stage.
