About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with AWS expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications. The role involves building robust microservices, APIs, and event-driven solutions using modern Java technologies and AWS cloud services while collaborating with architects, product owners, and engineering teams in an Agile environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Architect and implement robust, scalable, secure, and maintainable Java-based solutions.
• Develop cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Build Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) to validate business and technology opportunities.
• Design and implement distributed and event-driven architectures.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS using services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on solution architecture, design, and delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java (Java 11/17+) and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Microservices Architecture.
  • Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Solid experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or MySQL databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, and SonarQube.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and mentoring junior developers.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience with React for front-end development.
  • Knowledge of Kafka and event streaming architectures.
  • Experience with Redis or similar caching technologies.
  • Exposure to TM Forum Open APIs and OpenAPI specifications.
  • AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certifications.
