About the role

The key purpose of this role is to take ownership and build solutions using opensource tools to provide inventory and associated capabilities for SRIMS “Mobile/FN” platform. The role will work independently with some guidance when needed and can contribute to pairing with other team members. The role ensures enabling rapid business feature delivery though automation in design/dev/test and build processes.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, Implementation & Maintenance of Cloud native web application; following software development lifecycles.
• Knowing CI/CD pipeline and Version Control over Git.
• Knowledge to deliver in Agile Methodology.
• Ability to do deep dive on technical areas and get the best outcome out of technically ambitious situations.
• Knowledge of telecom domain /OSS to help deliver customer solutions.
• Collaborating with rest of engineering team to achieve common goal of quality & reusable deliverables.
• Drive strong engineering practices in the team
• Ability to debug complex issues and provide the right solution
• Helps the design and development of discreet solutions in line with cloud technologies and security standards, demonstrating basic knowledge of how solution impacts the wider Technology roadmap for an application
• Identifies and solves routine problems with components created, performs deep dive data analysis, potentially introducing new components or features to resolve issues.
• Conducts technical peer reviews within the organisation or with suppliers to ensure outputs align to quality standards and customer requirements.
• Designs and develops automation of services with team, ensuring and documenting the quality of delivery
• Contributes technical and methodical knowledge where needed to help managers, principals or technical experts to resolve issues during projects.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (JDK 11+)
• Experience in REST Web Services
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (Neo4j)
• Experience in containerisation technologies and Kubernetes (K8s)
• Understanding of CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar
• Expertise in working within a DevOps operating model

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Basic knowledge of Cloud technologies
• Exposure to OpenStack
• Understanding of Software Defined Networking (SDN)

Leadership Skills

• Ability to act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) and drive knowledge sharing and collaboration
• Strong judicious and enterprise perspective, with the ability to define and convey technology roadmaps
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Expertise in Agile delivery and change management
• Experience leading large-scale and complex business transformation initiatives
• Strong process design, process mapping, and documentation skills
