About the role

• We are seeking a dynamic Gen AI Engineer with strong foundational experience in AI/ML and hands-on expertise in Generative AI to build intelligent solutions for the procurement function.

• The role focuses on leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, and enterprise data to automate sourcing, contract management, supplier insights, and spend analytics.

What you’ll be doing

• 1. Gen AI Solution Development
Develop Gen AI use cases across procurement:
Contract summarization and clause extraction
RFx (RFP/RFQ) document generation
Supplier risk insights and evaluation
Spend classification and query-based analytics
Build and enhance procurement copilots and chatbots for business users


• 2. LLM & RAG Implementation
Design and implement RAG pipelines using procurement documents and enterprise datasets
Work with LLM ecosystems:
Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock
Apply prompt engineering and embeddings for domain-specific optimization


• 3. Data Integration
Integrate data from:
ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
Procurement platforms (Ariba, Coupa, Sirion)
Process structured/unstructured data (contracts, invoices, vendor data)


• 4. Model Optimization & Evaluation
Fine-tune and evaluate models for procurement-specific scenarios
Improve response quality, reduce hallucinations, and ensure accuracy
Implement feedback loops for continuous improvements


• 5. Deployment & Engineering
Develop APIs and microservices for AI integration
Deploy scalable solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Work with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)


• 6. Collaboration & Innovation
Work closely with procurement stakeholders and product teams
Translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions
Contribute to POCs, innovation initiatives, and roadmap planning

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Experience
    • 6–7 years of total experience in software/AI engineering
    • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Generative AI / LLM development
    • Exposure to procurement or supply chain domain preferred
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong programming in Python
    • Experience with:
    • LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex)
    • Prompt engineering & RAG pipelines
    • REST API development

• Knowledge of NLP principles

  • Cloud & Tools
    • Experience with at least one:
    • Azure OpenAI / AWS Bedrock / GCP Vertex AI

• Familiarity with data platforms like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Basic understanding of MLOps/DevOps pipelines

  • Data & AI Skills
    • Embeddings and vector search
    • Text processing and document intelligence
    • Model evaluation and tuning
  • Domain Understanding (Preferred)
    • Procurement lifecycle knowledge:
    o Source-to-Contract (S2C)
    o Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
    • Familiarity with tools like:
    o SAP Ariba, Coupa, Sirion
