Why this job matters

Working in this role, you will play a critical part in the digital transformation of BT’s business sales process. BT is fundamentally modernising its sales pipeline by implementing a more streamline sales motion using salesforce and related technologies.You’ll be part of a team in BT Digital who maintain and grow our Salesforce platform, used by our internal sales & service agents and sales partners.We use a variety of Salesforce services, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud & Omnistudio. We are widely integrated with various downstream and upstream application.

What you’ll be doing

• Work with colleagues across the sales tribe to design and develop configuration solutions within the salesforce platform (e.g., flows, object and user definitions, user interfaces, and business rules).

• Be part of a team responsible for translating complex sales requirements from multiple channels into accurate and robust platform logic.

• Configure and optimize the platform's features.

• Be part of a team responsible for the development of integration tooling and API orchestration that ensures seamless, reliable data synchronisation between the sales platform and core enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, CLM).

• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for all configurations to ensure high reliability and compliance before deployment.

• Ensure configurations are modular, scalable, and maintain good platform governance and change management practices.

• Produce clear technical documentation for the configurations, customisations, and deployment pipelines we develop.

Skills

• Programming / scripting experience applied within the context of configuring a major enterprise SaaS platform (e.g., CLM, Salesforce, ServiceNow).

• Have an understanding of business process modelling and a willingness to grow and develop skills in complex platform workflow/rules engine configuration.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines as applied to platform configuration

An understanding of APIs for data integration.

Experience using Devops processes with SaaS and able to talk about the software development lifecycle

• Experience of identifying and automating manual tasks using the native capabilities of a SaaS platform or related scripting technologies (e.g., Python/JavaScript).

• Have an understanding of agile methodologies/frameworks including Jira.
