Why this job matters

As a Senior Commercial Trading Manager for trading performance, you will be the single source of truth for trading performance across the Business. You will provide a consolidated, weekly view of trading performance across multiple products and channels, ensuring senior leadership has clear, accurate insight into commercial outcomes. Working closely with Business planning, you will help build our 5-year medium plan and ensure business and financial plans are aligned to strategic objectives. You will collaborate across the trading organisation to drive accountability, challenge performance, and deliver continuous improvement in how we trade.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own aggregation of trading forecasts and deliver weekly consolidated reporting across products and channels, articulating overall UK business trading performance against key KPIs to executive stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain the 5-year medium-term plan with product and segment targeting; consolidate and challenge forecasting inputs ensuring accuracy and consistency; develop clear trading messages for stakeholder communication.
  • Own the quarter-forward activity list and trading risks & opportunities, tracking initiatives from inception through completion; coordinate cross-functional trading projects to ensure delivery and accountability.
  • Collaborate with Commercial data, finance and partnership teams to automate reporting, provide volume and value hydraulics for financial modelling, and ensure trading perspectives drive business outcomes.
  • Drive accountability for business growth delivery and strategic KPI performance; manage complex stakeholder dependencies and thought leadership across a matrixed organization.
  • Challenge trading performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure all products, channels and initiatives are interlocked and aligned with strategic commercial objectives.

What we would like to see on your CV

  • Proven experience building 5-year Medium Term Plans with product and segment targeting.
  • Demonstrable experience in commercial or trading operations within a complex, multi-product environment.
  • Strong financial literacy with the ability to interpret and challenge data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence to challenge senior leaders and trading leads.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work at pace while managing recurring reporting cycles and shifting commercial priorities.
