Why this job matters
The Cyber Security Ops. Professional assists in activities that ensure the delivery of security solutions, assisting daily global operations in the delivery of regular risk reporting, handling compliance review activities, and identifying operational improvements and organisational vulnerabilities and risks.
What you’ll be doing
1. Participates in the implementation of risk management procedures, performing security assessments and providing security expertise and support for the implementation of priority security programmes.
2. Supports the delivery of security and tracking key projects of security.
3. Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of security operations.
4. Supports the delivery of security execution updates for managing executive and other key stakeholders' interfaces.
5. Supports the creation of meaningful metrics to track and trend the progress of essential security services.
6. Supports leasing with business leaders to proactively identify the security impact of implementations across the BT Group.
7. Supports internal and external communications, ensuring the cadence and content of communications is appropriate, to provide exposure of the security function.
8. Supports partnering with the BT Group corporate security to build complementary services that leverage the scale and capabilities while delivering a line-of-business function.
Experience you would be expected to have
Experience of working in a security operations centre.
Exposure to ITIL processes in context of service operations.
Minimum security industry recognised certifications in one or more of the following; ZCSS, Checkpoint Firewall CCSA , (Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator) or CCSE (Checkpoint Certified Security Expert),.
Professional Qualification’s are desirable but not essential
Skills required for the job
Extensive hands-on experience working on the following technologies; Zscaler Proxy , Firewalls , NGFW, SDWAN, IPS/IDS, load balancers.
IPS policy management, signature tuning.
Knowledge of device health monitoring tools and systems.
Stakeholder management and ability to work under pressure.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Cyber Security domains will be an added advantage.
