About the role

In this role, you will be involved in the development, testing and delivery of applications that support our next generation Broadband CPE, including Broadband Smart Hubs, Complete Wi-Fi, Hybrid Connect (4G) modems and Wi-Fi Extenders.

You will need to work effectively as part of UK-based agile squads, responsible for the testing of cutting edge client applications, working alongside highly skilled software and networking developers and testers, within the Broadband and TV tribe.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, BAs and product managers, to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
  • Communicating with testers, Delivery Managers & product owners to ensure risk has been mitigated in the delivery of a project.
  • Writing clear and comprehensive test estimates, planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Test Manager to improve the team’s processes and oversee the progress being made.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Taking a lead role within a squad’s day-to-day activities.
  • Analysing business specification documents, assisting in Test Plans, Test Strategy, Test Scope and defining Test Cases
  • Remain focused on continuous improvement of the testing process. Be actively involved in the fine-tuning to optimise QA results.
  • Ability to understand functional requirements and design documents, and to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Performing post-release testing in a live environment.
  • Using tools such as Postman, Sauce Labs, Perfecto, Jenkins, and Jira.
  • Assist management in the planning & preparation of upcoming Projects.
  • Provide feedback on PoCs done to improve the testing process.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Experience with any HL Programming Language - (TypeScript, JS, Java).
  • Work experience on Testing framework - Playwright, Serenity Cucumber BDD.
  • knowledge on the QA Agile Methodologies (Culture, Tools, Process), SDLC, Boards (Scrum, Kanban), JIRA software, Confluence, Dashboards, Reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience in different testing types (like - unit Testing, Integration Testing, SIT, Release, Regression Testing, etc).
  • Knowledge on Accessibility Testing for Mobile Apps.
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with proficiency at grasping new functional concepts.
  • Experience with remote cloud devices tools like Perfecto/Browserstack/Headspin or similar.
  • Exposure to API Testing and tools like - Postman and HTTP Methods.
  • Experience with Performance testing and tools like Blazemeter/Loadrunner.
