Why this job matters

The key purpose of this role is to define, drive and maintain the managed security services framework for which all security products and services should launch onto. This will enable BT’s security portfolio to offer scalability when it comes to managed security services and essential competitive differentiation, to support BT Security’s revenue growth ambitions before 2030 and beyond.


You will also work with colleagues across Business to ensure consistency when building managed services, defining key service modules which will get added to the strategic service catalogue and revolutionising the way we build products for the future.

With Security as a major growth engine of BT Group and a core part of BT’s 2030 ambition, and in this role you'll be front-and-centre to defining and enabling BT Security’s current and future success.

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee and manage BT Security’s GSM (Graded Service Model) for both CPS and Global markets.
• Lead definition of all service components within the GSM framework in line with customer and business requirements, as well as cyber security and ITIL standards including: initial set up, controlled deployment, monitoring and management, and continuous improvement.


• Drive competitiveness, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of BT’s managed services, differentiating them in the market.
• Drive market insights and competitive analysis to feedback into requirements.


• Take ownership of the end-to-end customer experience, including agreeing customer SLA’s and agreeing appropriate supporting tools and systems with CIO, Networks and service teams.
• Own managed service roadmap for security and collaborate closely with sales, cross-portfolio, service, delivery, design, legal, and finance teams to bring enhancements to market.


• Continually improve security operations based on threat intelligence and incident feedback.
• Be responsible for BT Security’s reporting app (Security Hub) and drive future state experience by improving the user interface and creating valuable end customer reports.
• Establish and standardise consistent business rules which must be applied to all security controls and threat management portfolio to facilitate solution sales.


• Work directly with the Business Managed Service portfolio team to ensure security is seamlessly integrated into the strategic service catalogue alongside other portfolio areas.
• Create and implement effective pricing strategies for managed security service wrap, improving margin whilst balancing overall cost to customer.

Experience Required

• Proven experience in product management, particularly within the managed security services domain.
• Establishing end to end customer journeys and writing requirements to improve customer and user experiences.
• Familiarity with reporting tools and data driven decision making, using insights to drive user experience.
• Applying or using ITIL framework principles and practices for management of IT services.
• Understanding of security operations and incident management to define a resilient security managed service which drives value for BT customers.
• Experience navigating large organisations to deliver and transform service improvements to time, quality and budget.
