Your role places real value in finding and adapting ways to protect and support our people, customers & communities.
You will be responsible for leading the Technical Design & engineering development of BT's Cyber Security Portfolio products and services for the business market. This may include leading on Customer complex contracts that require dedicated focus and non-standard integrations
You will be working with suppliers, vendors, and a wide range of diverse stakeholders, to create a product that meets the customer and market expectations, whilst meeting the business operating cost targets (people, process, systems)

Responsible for the relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency of the security service towards the customer during the service initiation/transition phase and during in life operations and will act as a ‘trusted advisor’
You will provide key technical knowledge and expertise to wider business functions, from Account and Project Management to Operational investigations, to ensure technology is managed to service models and security standards
The products and services you help create will be sold and used by household names across the world, across many markets, each with their own legal and regulatory challenges
This is crucial for BT to provide brilliant services for customers, providing managed security from our wide range of provided solutions

What you'll be doing

  • Lead Technical Design Authority on Complex customer contracts, providing expertise and supporting the customer develop their security posture across their business estate
  • Responsible for leading the creation of Cyber Security designs, whilst balancing commercial market requirements and internal governance, for SIEM or SOAR security BT product launch
  • Leading technical design and / or systems integration from concept / requirements phase to controlled delivery, with focus on compliance, cost and risk management
  • Lead regular 'Continuous Improvement' initiatives to optimise and enhance the BT Security Design patterns, to increase the value of our service offering to key customers
  • Become the custodian of the ‘Intellectual Property’ in the BT Design library, to leverage the knowledge for design pattern reuse across wider products and services, for increased speed to market
  • Become the BT Security Technical leader for customer C-Level technical reviews, balancing customer demands against BT frameworks, to demonstrate value of BT
  • Demonstrate strong organisational & commercial skills to agree a finite project scope, clearly communicated via experienced presentation skills
  • Develop business strategies and Frameworks across the organisation and stakeholders, to improve quality and speed of delivery. Ensure the Designs created are compliant with BT security standards and market compliance levels (i.e ISO, GDPR, NCSC)
  • Provide technical leadership & foster collaboration across multiple external suppliers & BT stakeholders, to identify new roadmap developments and improvements to enhance the BT service offering
  • Support in-life Operation escalations on launched products and services where required
  • The role may involve working with Government CNI and Military Contracts, so a level of security clearance (SC) will be required

What we would like to see on your CV

  • Experience of working in a solution design / systems integration role for major global customers, developing new solutions for external and internal use
  • Experience of an important role with-in a multi-skilled, matrix team of Operations, process & system leads, and working independently, using AGILE methodology to meet scheduled delivery dates
  • Proven track record of designing & developing new and innovative solutions, continuously adapting, and enhancing once launched
  • Time spent in a Senior Operational function or technical delivery role, implementing and/our supporting launched services and engaging with 'real-world' customer issues and feedback
  • Be able to create and define testing strategies & tooling to validate designs and deployment guides
  • Wide, broad understanding of people, process and systems and interactions to act as an interface and 'translator' between stakeholders; Working experience of Product launch development methodologies and processes i.e C2M, LIP, AGILE, Sprints & PIR's
  • Ability to present, communicate with C-Level Stakeholders and track record of resolving business level challenges; Organised leader, who can set direction, goals and manage their resources to achieve quality deliverables
  • 3+ years of Deep knowledge and active experience of SIEM/SOAR technologies e.g., QRadar, MS Sentinel or IBM Resilient. A formal qualification(s) in a CLOUD or SIEM/SOAR Technology
  • Knowledgeable in key areas of: MITRE Framework & Cyber Kill Chain, ITIL, SECDEVOPS, automation development

Desirable

  • Ability to assess gaps in the our portfolio products and customer’s needs, to generate business case level justifications for strategic portfolio enhancements (reuse, efficiency)
  • Strong automation knowledge and defining frameworks, to Simplify a complex area to deliver increased quality, at reduced cost
  • Experience of Leading a multi-skilled, matrix team of Operations, process & system leads and working independently, using AGILE methodology, to meet scheduled delivery dates
  • Experience of people or matrix management, setting objectives to support SMART goals, in a challenging technical environment
  • Working, deep knowledge across two technologies (i.e SIEM, SOAR, Cloud) and a track record of developing successful products and services for business customers. A certificated architecture qualification (i.e TOGAF, SIEM architect) is desirable
