The Scope

Since forming as a unified security organisation in 2014, we have grown double-digits to circa £600m business today. We have strong plans and ambition to grow to £1bn before 2030. Our goal is to make BT the standout company within the security space across SMB, Corporate and Public sector customers. This team continually work on "quirky" products that are constantly trying to break new ground. In recent years BT have further invested in leading solutions, for example in 2021 BT invested $33 million in Silicon Valley startup Safe Security that allow businesses to transform how they measure, manage and mitigate cyber risks in real time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define, Design, Deliver major security programmes across all B2B segments, working very closely with other strategy teams, portfolio areas and business units to create a compelling, realisable vision and drive through to conclusion.

  • As the most senior individual contributor within a team of ten your role will involve mentoring and coaching a high performance, inclusive team, to develop current and future team capabilities.

  • Running improvement programmes for various products, assessing any problem areas, and deciding what measures will boost performance.

  • Acting as a thought leader and cyber subject matter expert within the BT Business Unit.

  • Assessing future trends to increase security convergence across the BT Group.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a project, programme or change management role when you have delivered change in a fast-paced technology first B2B environment.

  • A history of mentoring and coaching teams of project, programme, change management professionals.

  • Experience within or at least a strong interest in cyber security.

  • Demonstrated the ability to effectively manage senior stakeholder relationships up to C-suite level.
