About the role

The Procurement Process Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that BT Sourced’s procurement process excellence is run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with strategic goals. By supporting the design and execution of robust procurement processes, this role helps reduce operational risk, improve compliance, and unlock cost-saving opportunities. The Manager acts as a key enabler of digital transformation and continuous improvement, ensuring that procurement activities are not only effective but also scalable and future ready. Their contribution directly impacts the quality, speed, and value of procurement outcomes across the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Transformation & Programme Delivery: Drive execution discipline, including action tracking, stakeholder follow-ups, and progress reporting. Support prioritisation of initiatives aligned to strategic objectives and maintain integrated plans, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Process Execution & Support: Drive the rollout and maintenance of standardized Source to Contract (S2C) fully digitalised procurement processes ensuring consistency and compliance across teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and support implementation of automation and digital tools to improve efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Category Managers, Finance, Legal, and other business units to ensure procurement processes meet operational needs.
  • Technology Enablement: Support the adoption and optimization of procurement platforms ensuring data accuracy and user engagement.
  • Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials and process documentation to support knowledge transfer and adoption across teams.
  • Compliance & Risk Monitoring: Monitor adherence to procurement policies and controls, escalating risks and supporting mitigation efforts.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Assist in tracking KPIs and preparing reports to measure process performance and identify areas for improvement.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Project & Change Management
    • Experience supporting change initiatives, including process rollouts and system implementations.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Collaboration
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Ability to translate complex process concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation and training materials.
  • Training & Capability Building
    • Experience in developing and delivering training sessions or workshops to support process adoption and upskilling.
  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma is a plus)
  • Experience supporting change initiatives, including process rollouts and system implementations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex process concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation and training materials.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Procurement Process Knowledge
    • Solid understanding of S2C, P2P & In-Life (SRM) processes.
    • Familiarity with procurement operating models, governance frameworks, Contract in-life management and compliance standards.
  • Digital & Systems Fluency
    • Hands-on experience with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or Oracle.
    • Ability to support digital transformation initiatives, including automation and data analytics tools.
    • Exposure to procurement orchestration or workflow tools is highly desirable
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and propose actionable improvements.
    • Experience in using KPIs and metrics to monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Risk Awareness
    • Understanding of procurement-related risks and controls, with the ability to support compliance monitoring and reporting.
