Why this job matters
As our Pricing Specialist you’ll be right at the heart of the action, partnering with sales teams to land smart, competitive, and commercially sound deals in a fast-moving market. You’ll work closely with sales to understand customer needs, using market insight, internal data, and scenario modelling to create pricing solutions that work for both our customers and BT. You’ll apply your knowledge of Mobile, Networking, IP, and next-generation solutions to deliver competitive, market-leading pricing.
What you’ll be doing
• Provide commercial pricing support for complex and strategic customer opportunities.
• Define and lead insight-driven pricing strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Use data, insight, and analysis to improve opportunity win rates.
• Commercially stress-test new products and propositions to ensure viability and competitiveness.
• Ensure consistent pricing support across the team through effective tools, training, and guidance.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
The skills you’ll need
• Strong data storytelling skills, able to clearly explain pricing strategies and commercial benefits.
• Solid business and financial acumen, including KPIs, business cases, and P&L modelling (IRR, NPV).
• Proven ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
• Trusted advisor, providing expert commercial guidance.
• Growth mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and improve ways of working.
• Senior commercial management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven commercial leadership experience (product, proposition, commercial or financial management)
• Strong track record of collaborating with and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of UK channel economics and market drivers.
• Understanding of the UK carrier and reseller landscape.
• Exposure to private and public sector or vertical markets.
