About the role
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and support a community of Delivery PMO professionals through regular coaching, performance conversations, development planning and clear expectations.
- Build an active PMO Community of Practice that promotes mentoring, knowledge sharing, professional development and career progression.
- Improve the consistency and quality of PMO governance, assurance, standards and ways of working across the organisation.
- Partner with Delivery PMO leads and senior stakeholders to anticipate capability, capacity, succession and workforce requirements.
- Support colleagues through organisational change, using performance insight and stakeholder feedback to identify risks and deliver continuous improvement.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Proven leadership of large teams, with a strong track record in coaching, developing and improving performance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across senior leadership teams.
- PMO expertise, including governance, assurance, controls, reporting and PMO best practice
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Leading a PMO function or professional community within a large or complex delivery organisation.
- Supporting PMO transformation, operating model change or capability improvement.
- Applying P3M governance, assurance or delivery frameworks.
- Developing PMO standards, methodologies or service catalogues.
- Supporting workforce planning, talent development or succession planning.
- Holding a relevant PMO, project or programme management qualification.
- Holding current SC clearance.
