Being involved in any programme is special however working on a programme delivering within one of the largest Capital Expenditure portfolio in the county has something a little bit extra.
BT/EE is a major supplier to the Emergency Services Network (ESN), which plans to replace the current Airwave service used by the emergency services of Great Britain.
The move to ESN will enable a transformation in how the emergency services operate, especially on the front line. As such, this is a strategic priority for BT and reinforces our commitment to connect for good and serve the emergency services with a world class network.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and maintain project management standards and processes based on BT Group’s unified methodology to ensure compliance and effective governance.
- Support the Programme Director in creating and managing the programme and project structure, ensuring that they are aligned with strategic objectives and that their delivery is prioritised and coordinated across the organisation.
- Manage financial and KPI information for the Programme, working with the commercial team to ensure costs are in line with expectations.
- Identify and manage dependencies, risks and issues, developing mitigations and ensuring that they are appropriately managed and reported.
- Provide regular status updates to the executive board and senior management, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of progress and any issues that may impact delivery.
- Develop and mentor as required, helping to improve people's abilities, and sharing knowledge and best practices to continuously improve delivery efficiency and effectiveness. Including people leadership of 2 direct reports supporting the programme.
- Understanding of and ability to manage Jira and configurations to effectively execute the day-to-day activities for the Programme
