The Software Engineering Professional supports the execution of the software engineering strategy and roadmap that supports BT's commercial strategy through cross functional project and technical delivery and the participation of a team that pursues innovation as well as engineering excellence.

What you’ll be doing

  • Experience in designing & development in Core Java/JS/Oracle technologies and lead from
  • an Engineering point of view.
  • To analyze problems and propose solutions with high quality.
  • Good understanding of telecom OSS domain.
  • Ability to deep dive on technical areas and get the best outcome out of technically
  • challenging situations.
  • Possess good hands-on experience and be able to mentor technical teams.
  • Understand need of multiple projects and communicate them divisionally and/or crossdivisionally
  • Adopt new and emerging technologies to provide solutions to meet challenging needs.
  • Ability to debug complex issues and provide the right solution
  • Ability to drive and validate technical and functional designs and lead to implementation.
  • May involve liaising with internal, external and third-party suppliers

Skills Required

  • Minimum 4 years of Hands-on coding ability and strong analytical skills to trouble shoot and provide technological solutions using Java/J2EE, design Patterns, Oracle, PLSQL, Tomcat and JavaScript.
  • Hands-on coding ability in Spring Boot, Rest APIs and Microservices.
  • Hands-on experience in Bootstrap, AngularJS.
  • Working knowledge of performance tuning of application and continuous integration
  • techniques.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working Experience in Jenkins, Sonar and Devops.
  • Contributing to planning and prioritizing Agile Delivery tasks/stories within team
