An allowance of £5k per annum will be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role, and will include onsite attendance.

About this role

As our Defence ILS Professional for Specialist Services, you’ll play an important role in maintaining and managing a large / complex Managed Service for one our most important customers. Providing an excellent customer experience is pivotal, whilst using data analytics to develop the wider team further equally.

You’ll need to be the subject matter expert (SME) and deliver expertise to both technical and non-technical people to minimise risk of incident / problems on site. As Defence ILS Professional, you’ll be required to be on-call 24x7x365 (1 week in 2) and maintain the rota in alignment with the agreed service contract.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing, growing, and maintaining ILS activities with the Defence Sector. This means to be technically current and using the latest ILS strategies with the MoD Framework
  • Managing, planning, and administrating complex ILS activities and strategies
  • Using your leadership skills to collaborate, create and develop the managed service by adhering to ITIL service operations model.
  • Using your ILS and operational experience to create and deliver a brilliant customer experience by understanding the customers’ needs and expectations.
  • You’ll help to champion and aid cost reduction within your area of responsibility.

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • This role requires you to to go through or currently hold Government Security Clearance to DV level, which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 10 years with no breaks.
  • An analytical mindset and approach to create strategies across the managed service.
  • You can provide excellent and collaborative stakeholder management across various lines of business such as 3rd party suppliers / contractors and multiple user authorities.
  • You have superb asset management skills in maintaining accurate records.
  • You’re accredited in ITIL v4 foundation or at least working towards this.
